What it does
The WeCom Unified skill connects an agent to the WeCom (企业微信) corporate messenger through the `wecom-cli` command-line program. `SKILL.md` works as a routing table. The agent decides which area a request belongs to, opens that area's reference in the `references/` folder and only then builds a command instead of inventing parameters from memory. The areas cover address book lookup, online documents, spreadsheets and smart sheets, smart documents, presentations with `.ppt` and `.pptx` import, a calendar with availability and meeting room checks, meetings with minutes and transcripts, tasks, cloud drive, mail and bot messages with text, files, voice and video. Before the first call the skill checks that `wecom-cli` version 1.2.1 or newer is installed and authorized. If not, it installs the `@wecom/cli` package and starts a QR-code sign-in. The skill must not show internal IDs in replies to the user.
Who it is for. Staff of companies on WeCom who want to run meetings, documents and tasks through an agent in Codex, Cursor or other supported environments.
Good fit when
- A colleague has to be found by name or pinyin and given a calendar meeting right away
- A link on `doc.weixin.qq.com` holds a document or sheet that the agent has to read and update
- Meeting results have to become tasks with assignees and deadlines
- A local `.pptx` presentation has to be imported as an online document and handed over as a link
- A file has to be uploaded to the cloud drive or found there by name
Not a fit when
- The company does not use WeCom: the skill works only through `wecom-cli` and sign-in to that service
- You need personal WeChat: the skill covers corporate WeCom
- There is no way to scan the authorization QR code on the agent's machine

Node.js 18 or newer and a WeCom account are required. The first connection blocks until a person scans the QR code. The skill itself is a set of instructions and the actions are carried out by `wecom-cli` version 1.2.1 or higher. The references and descriptions are written in Chinese. If the user does not specify a type, the skill creates a smart document instead of a plain document and a smart sheet instead of a plain sheet. macOS, Linux and Windows are supported, with x64 and arm64 on macOS and Linux.
How to disable. Remove the skill through the `skills` manager or its folder in the agent's directory. To revoke access, drop the `wecom-cli` authorization and remove the app's access in WeCom settings. The package is removed with `npm uninstall -g @wecom/cli`.
FAQ
How do I install WeCom Unified in Codex or Cursor?
Run `npx skills add WecomTeam/wecom-unified -y -g`: the command finds installed supported environments, including WorkBuddy, CodeBuddy, MiniMax Code, Kimi Work, Codex and Cursor.
How does the skill get access to WeCom?
Through `wecom-cli auth init --noninteractive`: the command prints a link and a QR code and waits until the account owner confirms sign-in. Check the status with `wecom-cli auth show --status`.
What if `wecom-cli` is not found?
The skill itself runs `npm install -g @wecom/cli`. If the version stays below 1.2.1 after installing, it stops and reports the error to the user.
How does this skill differ from `wecom-cli` itself?
`wecom-cli` runs the commands, while the skill holds routing across 13 areas and parameter references the agent uses to build those commands.
Does the skill show internal identifiers?
No, a general constraint in `SKILL.md` forbids printing identifier fields in the reply to the user.
