What it does

The $yandex-direct skill guides an agent through the full Direct advertising cycle: gathers demand via Wordstat v2 with associations and seasonality, keeps measured data separate from hypotheses, designs Unified Performance Campaign structure splitting Search, YAN, brand and remarketing, generates combinatorial ResponsiveAd creatives (up to 7 headlines and 3 texts), checks moderation and landing-page match, builds a measurement plan via Metrika goals, CPA and ad spend ratio, and designs A/B tests. The yandex_direct_toolkit.py script can call the Wordstat and Direct APIs directly with no third-party Python packages, but every call defaults to preview: an actual write to Direct needs the --execute flag and a separate confirmation token printed by the preview.

Who it is for. For PPC specialists who want to run a Direct launch from demand research to live ads through an agent, with a checkpoint at every step.

Good fit when

  • You need the full cycle: demand, campaign structure, ads, moderation, measurement
  • You need explicit confirmation before every live write to Direct

Not a fit when

  • You need a strictly read-only audit with no chance of real writes: writes are part of this skill's design
  • You lack Wordstat v2 and Direct API tokens: without them the skill only gives advice, not real data

Limitations

Wordstat tokens (YANDEX_SEARCH_API_KEY, YANDEX_FOLDER_ID) and a Direct token (YANDEX_DIRECT_TOKEN) must be set up separately and never committed. Paid Wordstat calls and live writes to Direct each require their own confirmation token. The skill does not guarantee sales or beating competitors; it only strengthens the controllable parts: demand quality, relevance and iteration speed.

How to disable. Delete the skills/yandex-direct folder from your agent's skills directory.
