The recipe from the Postmypost help builds a seven-step chain in n8n: manual start, picture generation with OpenAI DALL·E, file upload initialization by link, upload completion, status check and creation of a publication with the attached file. Each step is shown with an API request and response, so the chain can be repeated and the image generator swapped for your own.

How do I get a token for the Postmypost API?
In Postmypost open the Access tokens section, click Create, name the token and save the generated value. Keep it safe and send it in the Authorization: Bearer header.
Which upload statuses does the recipe use?
5 pending, 4 uploading, 3 processing, 2 error, 1 uploaded successfully. Create the publication when the status check returns 1 and a file_id.
How is the n8n recipe different from Postmypost MCP?
The recipe fixes a chain of steps in n8n, while MCP gives an agent a set of tools it assembles actions from. For regular scheduled publishing the recipe fits, for one-off tasks in a dialog MCP fits.
