Extended access

Why this level

  • The agent reads recordings, transcripts, notes and organisation contacts and acts on behalf of your account
  • The control commands remove participants from a meeting, and share-set and settings-set change access to recordings
  • At each new session the skill writes the agent and model names to the local ~/.tmeet/agent.json file
All reasons and checks

Install

In your terminal, with SkillFoxx CLI

npx skillfoxx add cli/tencentmeeting-cli

How we review

Extended accessThe tool runs code or makes network calls and only reads external data.

This is third-party code. Review the repository files before installing.

What it does

tmeet is a Go console client for Tencent Meeting that signs in through OAuth2 with a device code. tmeet meeting creates, reschedules and cancels meetings, recurring ones included, searches them and manages the invitee list. With tmeet record an agent finds meeting recordings and gets download links, notes, action items, a transcript and search over it. tmeet report returns the participant list and the waiting-room log, and tmeet minutes works with notes from the Yuanbao assistant. The tmeet-skill skill holds the rules for picking a command and a reference for each section. Before calling tmeet, the skill requires running the agent_init.py script once per session: it writes the agent and model names to ~/.tmeet/agent.json. For commands that change things, such as share-set and settings-set for recordings, it tells the agent to get confirmation first. Control also works during a meeting: tmeet control calls participants, removes them from the meeting and handles the waiting room. tmeet event consume streams events as NDJSON, and tmeet event stop ends the background process. Replies come as JSON, and --compact keeps only the key fields.

Who it is for. Meeting organisers and Tencent Meeting administrators who want to hand scheduling, recording search and notes review to Claude Code or another agent.

Good fit when

  • A weekly meeting is needed at the same time, and the agent creates it with tmeet meeting create using ISO 8601 dates
  • Notes and action items are wanted after a meeting: tmeet record content with the minutes or todos action returns them by meeting number
  • You need to know who attended and to export participants: tmeet report participants and participants-export cover it
  • An agent has to react to meeting events without polling: tmeet event consume passes them as a stream

Not a fit when

  • The agent must join a meeting as a participant: tmeet has no command for connecting to a call by voice and manages meetings through the Tencent Meeting API
  • Meetings run in Zoom, Teams or Google Meet: the CLI works only with Tencent Meeting
  • The agent client cannot run shell commands: tmeet requires terminal access

Example request

Create a Tencent Meeting called "Weekly sync" for Friday 10:00 to 11:00 Beijing time and show me its number

Limitations

  • A Tencent Meeting account is required: tmeet auth login waits up to five minutes for confirmation in the browser.
  • Commands and most documentation are in Chinese; the English README is README_EN.md and the English command reference is docs/command_en.md.
  • The agent gets access to meeting data, recordings, notes and contacts and acts on your behalf. The developer warns of possible data leaks and mistakes caused by model hallucination and prompt injection. If in doubt, run tmeet auth logout.
  • After tmeet event consume a background event-bus process stays on the machine until tmeet event stop ends it.

How to disable. Sign out with tmeet auth logout, which clears the saved login. For full removal run node $(npm root -g)/@tencentcloud/tmeet/scripts/uninstall.js, which stops the background process and cleans ~/.tmeet/, then npm uninstall -g @tencentcloud/tmeet. npx skills remove TencentCloud/tencentmeeting-cli -g removes the skill.

FAQ

How do I install Tencent Meeting CLI in Claude Code?

Two steps: npm install -g @tencentcloud/tmeet for the CLI itself and npx skills add TencentCloud/tencentmeeting-cli -y -g for the skill. The first step is needed even without an agent, and if tmeet is missing the skill runs the npm install itself. Then sign in with tmeet auth login.

What does agent_init.py write to ~/.tmeet?

The script writes an agent.json file with the agent name and model name, one field each. The skill runs it once per session and whenever the model changes, before the first tmeet command. The file stays local, and the directory is changed with TMEET_CLI_CONFIG_DIR.

How do I page through long lists of meetings and recordings?

Use --page-size and --page-token: leave the token out of the first request and pass next_page_token from each reply until it comes back empty. The old --page, --pos and --size flags still work but are deprecated.

How do I find out that a new CLI version is out?

tmeet update check reports a new version, tmeet update run downloads and replaces the CLI, and tmeet update set stores the reminder preference, remind or never_remind.

What time format should I use?

ISO 8601 with a time zone offset, for example 2026-04-10T10:00+08:00. Timestamps in CLI replies are converted to ISO 8601 as well.

README in short

The README, in Chinese, lists the features, then walks through installing from npm or from source and a first scenario: sign in, create a meeting, list, sign out. Next come global flags, pagination rules, the command tree and a link to the detailed reference in docs/command.md. The page ends with a danger notice and the environment variables for configuration.
