How we reviewExtended accessThe tool runs code or makes network calls and only reads external data.

What it does
The server turns Avito search into MCP client tools. `avito_search` looks up listings in a chosen city with sorting by price, date or discount and a price range, and `avito_item` reads a whole listing: price, description, characteristics, address, photos, date and views, and the seller. `avito_seller_reviews` collects the seller rating and fresh reviews with scores and deal stage, `avito_health` checks the session and `avito_setup_session` creates it in a separate browser window. The server writes to no sellers, posts no listings and does not touch the account. Avito has no public API for buyers, so the project uses internal site endpoints, and requests run from an avito.ru tab in headless Chrome with a pause of at least 5 seconds. After `AVITO_RATE_LIMITED` the server stays away from Avito for 20 minutes. Setup: `npx avito-shopping-mcp setup` opens Chrome and a person passes the access check or captcha. Then the server is added to Claude Code with `claude mcp add`. The project is based on wb-shopping-mcp and ozon-shopping-mcp.
Who it is for. Buyers who pick used electronics, furniture or cars on Avito and want an agent to compare listings and vet sellers.
Good fit when
- Five DeLonghi coffee machines in Moscow under 25,000 rubles are compared by condition, kit and seller reviews
- A used iPhone search in Kazan drops listings from sellers rated below 4.5
- From a listing link the description and characteristics are read and the seller reviews are checked for warning signs
- Prices for one model in two cities are compared without dozens of open tabs
Not a fit when
- You need a tool that posts or answers sellers: this server reads and does not write
- Data collection is mass or public: the project is built for personal interactive use
- The session is on a server without a screen: a person passes the first access check in a Chrome window
Example request
Find a used iPhone 15 128 GB in Kazan under 50,000 rubles, compare the battery from descriptions and flag sellers rated below 4.5.MCP

Limitations
Node.js 24 LTS or newer and Google Chrome are required. The project is declared alpha: Avito internal endpoints and automation protection may change without notice. Requests go one at a time with a pause of at least 5 seconds and a random addition, search costs one request and reviews two or three.
After access is restricted the server stays quiet for 20 minutes, and Avito blocks sometimes last an hour or longer. Reviews relate to the seller overall and not to one listing, and publication date and views may lag. The session file stores cookies with 0700 and 0600 permissions. The project is not affiliated with Avito and not approved by the company.
How to disable. Remove the server with `claude mcp remove avito-shopping` and delete the saved Chrome session in the project directory.
FAQ
How do I connect Avito Shopping MCP to Claude Code?
Run `npx avito-shopping-mcp setup`, pass the Avito check in the Chrome window, then `claude mcp add avito-shopping -- npx -y avito-shopping-mcp`.
Does the server sign in to my Avito account?
No. It works with no account sign-in, writes to no sellers and posts no listings. The browser session stays on your computer.
What to do on an AVITO_RATE_LIMITED error?
The server stays away from Avito for 20 minutes. To continue sooner, run `npx avito-shopping-mcp setup` and pass the captcha in the browser window.
Which tools does the server have?
`avito_search`, `avito_item`, `avito_seller_reviews`, `avito_health` and `avito_setup_session`. A listing is passed as a link or a numeric id.
Can the server be used for mass collection?
No, the author builds the project for interactive personal use. Requests go strictly one at a time with pauses.
