What it does
The server drives an ordinary Chrome with a separate profile and debug port 9222, where you are already signed in to Avito, Ozon and AliExpress. It connects over the DevTools Protocol, keeps one tab per site and calls the sites' own APIs through `fetch()` from inside the tab. Results arrive as compact TSV, so a search costs hundreds of tokens instead of tens of thousands. On Avito you get search with the total delivery price to your city, a listing card with the address, a chat list, conversations and sending text into a chat or to a listing's seller. On Ozon and AliExpress the agent searches products, views cards with delivery dates and the seller, manages the cart and finds past purchases in order history by name. Separate tools read reviews with sorting and search and publish a review with a rating and text. The server never places orders or pays for anything: a purchase ends at the cart. Besides the server there is `watch.py`, which on a schedule looks for new Avito listings under a set price and sends them to Telegram once.
Who it is for. People who often pick gadgets and parts on Avito, Ozon and AliExpress and want to compare prices with delivery and search their orders from an agent chat.
Good fit when
- You search for boards or parts on three platforms at once and the price with delivery to your city matters
- You want to recall what you bought earlier and find an order by words from the title, such as "usb hub | hub"
- Before buying on Ozon you read reviews of the right product variant only, sorted by usefulness
- New Avito listings with delivery under a set price arrive in Telegram on a schedule
- You want to message a listing's seller from the agent chat and be sure the message went out
Not a fit when
- You want automatic purchasing: the server reaches the cart only
- There is no always-on Chrome with your site sign-ins: without it the server reads nothing
- The site shows a slider check or a 439 answer: automation hits a captcha that is passed by hand
- Platform rules forbid account automation: the author warns outright that use is at your own risk

Limitations
Chrome with a separate profile and a debug port on 127.0.0.1, sign-ins to avito.ru, ozon.ru and aliexpress.ru, and `uv` are required. Put the repository in `~/shop-mcp` and connect the server with `claude mcp add shop -s user -- ~/shop-mcp/run.sh`. The author runs Chrome on a separate Mac mini and reaches it over ssh.
Sites change layout and APIs, and then parsing breaks. Avito answers with code 439 and raises a check on frequent requests, and AliExpress holds the tab's requests while a slider check is open. The default Avito region is `sankt-peterburg` and changes with the `region` parameter.
Logs in `logs/` may contain your data from pages, so the folder is in `.gitignore`. Account automation may violate platform rules.
How to disable. Remove the server with `claude mcp remove shop`, stop the Chrome with the debug port and unload the `watch.py` schedule with `launchctl bootout`. Sign out of the accounts in the Chrome profile and delete `logs/` and `cache/`.
FAQ
How do I connect shop-mcp to Claude Code?
Put the repository in `~/shop-mcp`, start Chrome with a separate profile and `--remote-debugging-port=9222`, sign in to the sites and run `claude mcp add shop -s user -- ~/shop-mcp/run.sh`. If Chrome is on another machine, use `claude mcp add shop -s user -- ssh HOST ~/shop-mcp/run.sh`.
Can the server buy an item?
No. Ozon and AliExpress end at the cart: the server cannot place orders or pay. It does send reviews and messages, but the tool descriptions tell the model to take the rating and meaning from you and show the text before sending.
Where are logins and passwords stored?
Not in the code. Cookies and authorization stay in the Chrome profile and the server works through an open tab. Call logs go to `logs/shop.log` and may contain data from pages.
How do I search order history?
The `ozon_orders` and `ali_orders` tools take `query`: words that must all appear in the title. Several variants are set with "|". The first pass over hundreds of orders takes about ten minutes and the result is then cached in `cache/orders.json`.
What if Avito demands a check?
The server pauses between requests, but on frequent calls Avito answers with code 439. The check then has to be passed by hand in that same Chrome.
