Access and checks
How we reviewExtended accessThe tool runs code or makes network calls and only reads external data.

This is third-party code. Review the repository files before installing.
What it does
BankMCP connects agents to the user’s own bank accounts. After bank consent, agents retrieve balances, search transactions and prepare monthly summaries. Account labels make questions easier to express. The user hosts the server, which reaches banks through Enable Banking. It provides no payment tools. Optional watches monitor balances or expected transactions and notify a user-configured webhook.
Who it is for. Owners of personal accounts at supported European banks who want to review transactions through their assistant.
Good fit when
- You need to check whether an expected invoice payment arrived.
- A monthly review combines your own accounts’ income and expenses.
- History needs recurring-subscription analysis.
- An expected payment needs monitoring with your own webhook notification.
Not a fit when
- The assistant must initiate payments.
- The bank is unavailable through the integration provider.
- One server instance needs to serve several independent customers.
Example request
Show transactions from my connected accounts for the selected month and identify internal transfers without initiating payments.MCP

- Authentication
- not required
Limitations
Local use requires Node.js 24 or later and a separately registered Enable Banking application; prepare it before connecting the MCP client. Transaction data passes through Enable Banking and then reaches the agent, so local hosting does not keep every processing step on your machine. Each server is designed for one user. The own-account mode has non-commercial-use conditions; check those terms before offering any service to other people.
How to disable. Disconnect the bank consent and remove MCP access. Revoke consent at the bank if needed; saved chats and notifications remain with their recipients.
FAQ
Where does bank sign-in happen?
At the bank’s own page through the connection link, without giving the password to the agent.
Does the server save transactions to disk?
No. It stores connection and watch state; answers may remain in assistant history.
How often do background watches check?
The documented workflow checks accounts at most four times a day.
Can I use an account name?
Yes. Assign a label and use it in place of an ID.
What happens when consent expires?
The assistant reports renewal needs and the user approves bank access again.
