What it does

The server exposes seven tools over open Bank of Russia data: a currency rate on a date, all rates on a date, rate history over a period with stats (min, max, average), the current and historical key rate, official prices for gold, silver, platinum and palladium, and currency conversion at the CBR rate. Data comes from the cbr-xml-daily.ru mirror, falling back to the official cbr.ru when it is unavailable. For weekends and holidays with no published rates, it returns the nearest available business day with a note.

Who it is for. For finance and accounting tasks that need the official Bank of Russia rate or key rate on a specific date right inside a chat with an agent.

The server is unofficial and not affiliated with the Bank of Russia. It is part of a planned 46-server WWmcp series by the same author, most of which are still marked as coming soon. It depends on the cbr-xml-daily.ru mirror and the official cbr.ru as a fallback being reachable.

How to disable. Remove the server with claude mcp remove cbr or delete the cbr entry from your MCP client config.
