What it does
JustCall's hosted MCP server opens the phone service's Developer API to an agent. The 66 tools include call lists and details with an event-by-event journey, sending and reading SMS, conversation threads and tags, WhatsApp messages and templates, contacts with do-not-call flags and a global blacklist, appointment booking by calendar slots, analytics by agent, account and number, and webhooks. A separate group works with Sales Dialer: campaigns, contacts, bulk import and a do-not-call-again list. Two tools drive the AI layer of calling: `list_voice_agents` shows the account's voice agents, and `create_voice_agent_call` starts an outbound call from a chosen agent. For AI analysis there are transcripts, summaries and insights for calls and for recorded Zoom and Google Meet meetings.
Who it is for. Sales and support teams on JustCall who want to manage calls, messages and dialing from a chat with an assistant.
Good fit when

- After a webinar, attendees get an SMS with the topic and `check_sms_reply` reads the answers

Not a fit when
- You have no JustCall account with an API key and secret: the server does not connect without them
- You use another phone provider: the tools cover only JustCall
- Calls and messages must not go out without a human: `send_sms`, `send_whatsapp_message` and `create_voice_agent_call` act immediately

Limitations
- The server is hosted by JustCall, and the description gives no local run. The address is `https://mcp.justcall.host/mcp`, Streamable HTTP transport, with SSE as a fallback.
- You need an API key and secret from the Developers API credentials page. Requests are subject to the key's rate limits.
- In ChatGPT the connector is available on Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise plans with developer mode on.
- The last commit in the repository dates from March 2026.
How to disable. In Claude, disconnect or remove the JustCall connector in the connector settings. Revoke the API key and secret on the API credentials page in the JustCall dashboard.
FAQ
How do I connect JustCall to Claude Desktop?
Open settings, the Connectors tab, press Add Custom Connector, name it JustCall and paste `https://mcp.justcall.host/mcp`. After you press Connect, JustCall asks for the API key and secret and then returns you to Claude.
Where do I get the API key and secret?
In the JustCall dashboard on the Developers API credentials page at `https://app.justcall.io/app/developersApiCredentials`. Clients without OAuth pass the key in the header `Authorization: Bearer key:secret`.
Can the agent call a customer by itself?
Yes, through `create_voice_agent_call`: the tool starts an outbound call from a JustCall voice agent configured in the account. An ordinary operator call is not initiated through the server, as there is no such tool in the list.
How are these tools different from Sales Dialer?
The main group works with the JustCall account: calls, SMS, WhatsApp and CRM contacts. The Sales Dialer group manages auto-dialer campaigns, their contacts, imports and per-agent campaign analytics.
How is access to the server protected?
The `/mcp`, `/sse` and `/sse/message` endpoints require a token. The server uses OAuth 2.0 with the authorization code flow and PKCE (S256). Only `/health` and the OAuth metadata are public.
