What it does
The server, in a single src/index.ts file, provides eight tools: listing projects, a project's boards, a board's columns, a column's tasks, the list of employees, creating and updating a task, and sending a message to a task's chat. It is meant for deployment on Railway as a remote service: after publishing the project and adding the YOUGILE_KEY variable, it exposes an MCP endpoint like /mcp that you add to a client's integrations.
Who it is for. For people who want to quickly stand up their own minimal YouGile MCP in the cloud without a local run
Good fit when

The project has no stars, a single author, and a very short README that does not detail environment variables or transport. There is no ready public server: everyone deploys their own instance on Railway or another host and is responsible for its availability and security.
How to disable. Remove the MCP server from your client's integration settings and stop or delete the service in Railway.

Can it run somewhere other than Railway?
The README only describes Railway, but since it is an ordinary TypeScript project, it can run on any host that supports Node.
