What it does
The server publishes short vertical clips to YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels, Telegram, VK Clips, Threads, X and Pinterest in a single call. Platforms with an official API use OAuth2 credentials, while others, such as TikTok without business access, are handled through an interactive browser session via Playwright. Before publishing, the server checks aspect ratio, duration and codecs and normalizes the video to 9:16 with FFmpeg, and adapts titles, descriptions and hashtags to each platform's character limits. It includes a SQLite publish queue with anti-flood jitter delays, AES-encrypted credential storage with 0600 file permissions, and an analytics tool for views, likes, comments and engagement on already published clips.

It needs FFmpeg installed and in PATH. Some platforms work through an interactive Playwright browser session rather than an official API, which is more fragile to platform UI changes. Credentials are stored locally, encrypted, but compromising the agent's machine exposes access to every connected account.
How to disable. Remove the shortsmcp server from your MCP client configuration and delete the encrypted credential vault.

No, for platforms without an accessible API or business account the server supports an interactive Playwright browser session instead of OAuth2.
