What it does
Stock SDK MCP Server is an MCP server built on the stock-sdk library. It answers requests for China, Hong Kong and US stock quotes, historical K-lines, technical indicators (MA, MACD, BOLL, KDJ, RSI), sectors, futures, options, fund flows and dividends. The set includes composite tools for single-stock analysis, comparison, condition-based screening and a market overview, five ready prompts and four skills in `skills/`: technical analysis, a screener, a market overview and portfolio monitoring. Queries can use a name, a code or pinyin.
Who it is for. Analysts and private investors who follow Chinese markets through an AI agent and want live data without manual exports.
Good fit when
- An agent is asked about Moutai or Tencent prices and trends by name.
- Stocks have to be picked from the whole A-share market by growth, turnover and P/E.
- A sector review with leaders and recent price movement is wanted.
- A portfolio with purchase prices is checked against current quotes.
Not a fit when
- Trades and orders are wanted: the server only reads market data.
- Russian securities data is required: China, Hong Kong and the US are covered.
- An investment decision would be taken without your own checking.
Example request
Show Tencent and Moutai quotes, compute MACD for Tencent over the last 30 days and say whether a golden cross happened recently.MCP

Limitations
Node.js 18 or newer is required. Data comes from open sources through the stock-sdk library, and the README gives no guarantees on completeness or delay. Agent answers are reference material rather than investment advice. The skills in `skills/` are designed mainly for OpenClaw; other agents connect them following `skills/README.md`. The latest commit was made in May 2026. Building from source uses `yarn`, while running through `npx` needs no installation.
How to disable. Remove the `stock-sdk` block from the MCP client configuration and restart the client. If installed globally, run `npm uninstall -g stock-sdk-mcp`.
FAQ
Is an API key needed?
The README mentions no keys: the server starts with `npx -y stock-sdk-mcp`.
Which tool should I call first?
`get_quotes_by_query`: it accepts a name, a code or pinyin and detects the market itself. Use `get_kline_with_indicators` for indicators.
Which markets are covered?
A-shares (Shanghai, Shenzhen, Beijing), Hong Kong, the US, public funds, plus Chinese and global futures and options.
Where are the ready scenarios?
The `skills/` folder holds four skills, and the prompts `stock-analyst`, `stock-screener`, `market-overview`, `realtime-monitor` and `futures-overview` are built into the server.
How do I run it from source?
Clone the repository, run `yarn install` and `yarn build`, then `yarn start`.
