What it does
AI Employees is eight folders of scheduled routines, each covering one business role: GTM Engineer, SEO/AEO, Web Dev, Social Media, Ad Manager, Sales, Customer Satisfaction and Chief of Staff. There are 60 scheduled routines in all. An employee runs on your own machine, on the agent you already use, and sends a short brief every morning. They drive your browser and PC the way you do, signed in as you, and fix their own instructions when a page changes. Everything is drafted, filled and staged, and the last click stays yours until you release a channel. The Ad Manager employee moves money only when you approve. To set one up, download a kit with `npx ai-employees hire <role> --to <folder>`, open your agent in that folder and ask it to install the employee. For Claude Code there is a plugin with one `hire` skill and all eight kits bundled.
Who it is for. For founders and small teams who want to hand an agent recurring sales, marketing, support and site work.
Good fit when

Not a fit when
- You need one one-off skill: an employee installs as a scheduled folder, not as a command
- You are not comfortable with an agent working in your browser under your accounts
- The project folder sits in OneDrive, Dropbox, Google Drive or iCloud: install needs a folder outside cloud sync
- You want fully automatic publishing: the final click stays yours by default

You need a logged-in agent (the author uses Claude Code) and a browser signed in to the accounts the employee should read. Pick a folder outside OneDrive, Dropbox, Google Drive and iCloud. Install and run work on Windows, macOS and Linux.
The quick path shown first goes through a free Agent Ops Club account, but the same kit installs through `npx` without one. The Claude Code plugin copies a kit with no network request, registers nothing and sends no telemetry, while the installer itself downloads a kit from GitHub.
How to disable. Delete the employee's folder and remove the routines it scheduled in your agent's scheduler. The Claude Code plugin comes off through `/plugin`. `npx ai-employees upgrade` leaves every file you edited alone.
FAQ
How do I install AI Employees in Claude Code?
As a plugin: `/plugin marketplace add markfulton/ai-employees`, then `/plugin install ai-employees@ai-employees`. Then say «hire the GTM Engineer into <folder>» or run `/ai-employees:hire`. The skill checks the folder is outside cloud sync, copies the kit with no download and runs the self tests.
Which roles do the eight employees cover?
GTM Engineer, SEO/AEO, Web Dev, Social Media, Ad Manager, Sales, Customer Satisfaction and Chief of Staff. Each has 7 or 8 routines, 60 in all. The employees folder has the full schedule and a sample of each kit's output.
What does an employee do without my approval?
It drafts, fills and stages, and the final click stays yours until you release a channel. The Ad Manager moves money only when you approve. You get one brief a day, and a phone push only when you are the blocker.
Which agents work besides Claude Code?
The same two steps work on OpenClaw, Hermes, OpenCode, Grok Bot, Codex, Antigravity, Pi, Cline, Qwen Code, DeepSeek, Muse and Dots. The command for each is in docs/HARNESSES.md.
What happens when I upgrade a kit?
`npx ai-employees upgrade` does not overwrite your edits and offers a reviewable three-way merge when they diverge. Once a month the morning brief mentions a newer kit. A fix an employee made to itself that would help everyone is drafted for you to send back, and nothing is sent without your approval.
