What it does
Blender Skills is a package of specialized skills for working with Blender from Cursor, Claude Code, Kiro and Codex agents. Actions are performed by the BlenderMCP add-on that has to be installed in Blender: the chain looks like Blender, the BlenderMCP add-on, the agent. Installing the skills by cloning: `git clone https://github.com/arjun988/blender-skills.git` and copying `.claude/skills` into the project. MIT license. Check the number of skills from the author's description yourself.
Who it is for. For 3D artists and developers who want to control Blender through an agent: modeling, materials, scenes.
Good fit when
- You need to control Blender from Claude Code, Cursor, Kiro or Codex
- You need ready skills for modeling and materials
- You need to automate Blender scenes
Not a fit when
- Blender with the BlenderMCP add-on is not installed
- You need a ready result without launching Blender
Example request
Create a simple scene in Blender with a cube, a glass material and three-point lightingLimitations
The skills work only together with the BlenderMCP add-on in a running Blender. The agent executes commands inside Blender and can change the scene, so access is extended: keep a copy of the file.
How to disable. Remove the skill from the agent's folder or the plugin through the plugin manager.
