What it does
Postiz Agent gives an agent the `postiz` skill and the `postiz` CLI (`npm install -g postiz`) for scheduling social media posts through the Postiz service, cloud or deployed on your own. Skill installation: `npx skills add gitroomhq/postiz-agent`, with plugins for Claude Code, Cursor, Grok and a Gemini CLI extension with the built-in cloud Postiz MCP. A `POSTIZ_API_KEY` key or sign-in is needed, and credentials are stored in `~/.postiz/credentials.json`. Version 2.0.18 from 11.09.2026. AGPL-3.0 license: GitHub shows NOASSERTION but the LICENSE file contains the full text of AGPL version 3.

The agent publishes from your connected accounts and schedules posts, so access is extended: check texts and time before sending. The key and sign-in data live in the `~/.postiz/credentials.json` file, do not publish it. The AGPL-3.0 license imposes conditions on copying and network use.
How to disable. Remove the skill, the package with npm uninstall -g postiz and the ~/.postiz/credentials.json file and revoke the key in Postiz.
