What it does
social-auto-upload is a CLI and a set of skills for publishing content. The single `sau` CLI publishes videos, articles and image posts to Douyin, Kuaishou, Xiaohongshu, Bilibili, WeChat Channels, Baijiahao, Dayu, Alipay Life, Weibo, Hupu, Xueqiu, YouTube, Zhihu, Facebook, Facebook Page and Instagram. TikTok has a separate Chrome-based implementation and no `sau` command. The patchright driver runs Chromium. Skills for Claude Code, Codex and OpenClaw sit alongside. The umbrella `social-auto-upload` skill picks a flow by platform and content type, and each platform has its own, such as `douyin-upload`. The agent checks the account session with a command like `sau douyin check --account creator`, verifies the file, title, text, tags, visibility, time and account before posting, and reports success only when the command or platform confirms it. Articles are accepted as HTML, Markdown and TXT with themes, and some platforms support scheduled posting.
Who it is for. For creators and social media operators who run accounts on Chinese and international platforms and want an agent to handle routine posting.
Good fit when

- You need a Markdown article on Zhihu, Dayu or Xueqiu with inline images
- You need to check the account session is alive before posting
Not a fit when
- You need an official platform API: the tool drives a browser and does not call APIs
- You need to post to TikTok with `sau`: there is no command for TikTok, only a separate Chrome implementation
- You need scheduled posting to YouTube: it is in development, and experimental for Zhihu

You need Python 3.10–3.12, `uv` and Chromium for the patchright driver, and the config is copied with `cp conf.example.py conf.py`. A human logs in on each platform in the browser, and the session is saved under the `--account` name. If a platform sends an SMS code, the CLI asks for it in the terminal or reads `verify_code.txt`. Facebook and Instagram are blocked in Russia. The tool targets Chinese platforms and its documentation is in Chinese. Last commit in October 2026.
How to disable. Remove the skill from the agent's skills folder and log out of the platform accounts. Sessions are stored locally in the project under the `--account` names; delete them by hand, then remove the `.venv` environment if you like.
FAQ
How do I install social-auto-upload?
Clone the repository, create an environment with `uv venv`, run `uv pip install -e .` and `patchright install chromium`. The `sau` command appears after install.
How do I add the skills to Claude Code?
Run `npx skills add dreammis/social-auto-upload --skill douyin-upload`. Replace `douyin-upload` with `social-auto-upload` for the umbrella skill or another platform name.
Do I give the agent my account password?
No. You log in yourself in the browser, and the skill neither asks for nor stores the password. A command like `sau douyin check --account creator` verifies the session.
How do I handle an SMS verification code?
Type it in the terminal if the CLI runs interactively, or write it to `verify_code.txt` in the project root. The program deletes the file after checking.
Which Python version is required?
Python 3.10 to 3.12, plus `uv` and Chromium for the patchright driver.
