What it does
seo-audit-skill checks a page by URL and builds an HTML report. It has a two-layer design: Python scripts do deterministic checks (HTTP status, XML parsing, string search) while the model judges meaning: keyword intent, text quality, page type. A basic audit lands in `reports/<host>-audit.html`, a full one in `reports/<host>-full-audit.html`. It installs with `npx skills add JeffLi1993/seo-audit-skill`, with a choice of the `seo-audit` or `seo-audit-full` skill. MIT license.
Who it is for. For site owners and SEO specialists who need a quick page review with a clear list of fixes.
Good fit when
- You need a quick audit of one page by URL
- You need a report to hand to an agent for fixes
- You need a check of the sitemap, canonical, markup and social tags
Not a fit when
- You need a crawl of the whole site: the skill reviews one page
- You need search engine data on impressions and positions
Example request
audit this page: https://example.com, then open reports/example.com-audit.html and make a list of fixes by importanceLimitations
The skill requests the audited page over the network and runs Python scripts on your machine, which need `pip install requests`. Meaning-based judgments come from the model and are worth checking yourself. Check someone else's site the way you open it in a browser: one page at a time. Access is extended.
How to disable. Remove the skill with your skill manager command and the reports folder with the reports.
