What it does

Social AI Team installs ten Claude Code skills that work as a social media team. The main one, `/social-media-manager`, reads the state of a client folder and routes to the right specialist: brand onboarding first, then the calendar, content and a review of results. The instructions require approval between stages; enforcement depends on the agent. The `/brand-onboarding` skill collects data from the client website and Instagram through Playwright and writes `context/brand-style.md`, which every other skill reads. `/content-calendar` builds a month of posts with a topic, angle, format and goal for each. Captions for Instagram, Facebook and multi-platform posts come from `/caption-writer`, while `/linkedin-writer`, `/threads-writer` and `/x-writer` write for their platforms and check the relevant character limits. `/social-creative-designer` makes visuals through the Nano Banana MCP in four modes: generation, placing a real product photo in a scene, text over a client photo and frame-by-frame animation exported as an MP4 for Reels. `/publisher` schedules approved posts through Blotato, and `/social-performance-review` analyzes exports at month end and updates the best-performers file for the next month.

Who it is for. For small business owners, freelancers and small agencies who run client social media in Claude Code and want to put it on a repeatable pipeline.

Good fit when

  • A new client: you need to capture brand style from the website and Instagram once and rely on it in every text
  • Every month you need a content plan with a topic, format and goal for each post plus ready captions
  • One piece has to be rewritten for LinkedIn, Threads and X within each platform's character limits and style
  • You need branded images or a short Reels clip built from a real product photo of the client
  • At month end you want to analyze a stats export, see which content pillars worked and feed the findings into the next plan

Not a fit when

  • You need one post or one caption: an ordinary request is enough, and the full pipeline adds steps and folders
  • You do not want to connect MCPs: visuals need Nano Banana and site analysis needs Playwright, and without them some skills run in a reduced mode
  • You require a software barrier preventing publication before approval: the skills state this rule in text, and the agent must follow it
  • You work outside Claude Code: the skills are built for its `~/.claude/skills/` folder

Example request

/social-media-manager A new client, a coffee shop in Lisbon. Study the site and Instagram, capture the brand style and propose a calendar for the month

Limitations

The installer requires Git and Bash, copies skills into Claude Code’s skills directory and overwrites matching files without a backup. Save existing folders with the same names before running it. Configure MCP connections separately; keys, availability and pricing depend on each service. External MCP services and the agent’s model receive client materials used in their workflows.

Stop-motion video needs Python and `pip install 'imageio[ffmpeg]'`. Publishing instructions use tool names tied to the Blotato connector, so a differently named connection may need instruction edits. The author has not specified a license. Rights to use and copy the material are undefined; clarify them with the author.

How to disable. Delete the skill folders from `~/.claude/skills/` and, if you like, remove the Playwright, Nano Banana and Blotato connections in the MCP settings. Client files in `context/` and `outputs/` sit in your working folders and stay put.

FAQ

How do I install Social AI Team in Claude Code?

Clone the repository, enter it with `cd social-ai-team` and run `bash install.sh` on Mac or Linux, or `install.bat` on Windows. The installer copies ten skills into `~/.claude/skills/`, after which they are available as commands such as `/caption-writer`.

Where do I start from scratch?

Create a client folder, open Claude Code in it and call `/social-media-manager`. If there is no brand style file it first runs `/brand-onboarding`, then proposes a calendar, and it keeps its state in `context/workflow-status.md`.

Can I use the collection just for writing?

Yes. Call the calendar or caption skill individually. Blotato is needed when you want to schedule finished posts, but not for drafting them.

How does the skill respect platform limits?

`/threads-writer` caps a post at 500 characters, `/x-writer` holds 280 and shows a count on every post. `/linkedin-writer` builds a post as a hook line, short paragraphs, an insight, a call to action and three to five hashtags.

How does the monthly review work?

`/social-performance-review` accepts CSV exports, screenshots or manual input, finds top and bottom posts, breaks down pillars and formats and gives ranked recommendations. It writes the findings to `best-performers.md`, which the content skills read next month.

name: social-media-manager
version: 2.0.0
description: Social Media Manager role skill. Orchestrates the full SMB social media workflow across three layers — Foundation (brand setup + calendar), Content Creation (captions, platform-specialist posts, visuals), and Distribution (scheduling via Blotato + performance review). Coordinates all 9 component skills as a sequential, human-reviewed pipeline. Run this skill instead of invoking component skills individually.

# Social Media Manager

You are a Social Media Manager overseeing the full content workflow for an SMB client. Your job is to coordinate the right specialists at the right time, ensure work is done in the right order, and keep the operator informed of where things stand and what comes next.

You do not replace the component skills — you direct them. When a phase requires deep execution, you invoke the relevant skill and hand off to it. When that phase completes, you resume coordination.

---

## The Workflow

```
LAYER 1 — FOUNDATION
  /brand-onboarding  →  context/brand-style.md    (run once per client)
  /content-calendar  →  context/content-calendar.md  (run monthly)
LAYER 2 — CONTENT CREATION  (run monthly, after calendar)
  /caption-writer           →  outputs/captions/    (Instagram, Facebook, multi-platform)
  /social-creative-designer →  outputs/creatives/   (branded visuals via Nano Banana)
  /linkedin-writer          →  outputs/linkedin/    (LinkedIn-native posts)
  /threads-writer           →  outputs/threads/     (Threads posts)
  /x-writer                 →  outputs/x/           (X/Twitter posts)
LAYER 3 — DISTRIBUTION & REVIEW
  /publisher                →  Blotato (scheduling + infographic visuals)  [optional]
  /social-performance-review →  outputs/reviews/   (run end of month)
                                      ↓
                            context/best-performers.md
                            (feeds back into next month's content)
```

**Create → Specialise → Publish.** Layer 1 builds the foundation. Layer 2 creates platform-native content. Layer 3 distributes it and measures results.
