What it does
X-Skills is a set of four Claude Code skills that take a post from idea to draft. The x-collect skill runs four rounds of web search, from official sources to a check of fresh data. The x-filter skill scores topics on a ten-point scale and sends topics from seven points to the working list. The x-create skill writes a short tweet, a thread or a reply to someone else's post. By default it makes two variants, scores them itself and rewrites a weak one once. Five style templates live in x-create/references/post-patterns.md, and you can drop your own samples into the x-create/assets/templates folder. The x-publish skill opens the X editor through Playwright, pastes the text and saves a draft. Only a person publishes the post, by hand. The x_state.py script records liked and rejected topics so topic selection learns from your decisions.
Who it is for. For people who run an X account and want to put topic search and post drafts on a steady routine. It suits Chinese-language authors best.
Good fit when
- You need fresh material on a topic such as a new release and want to pick post topics from it
- You need a thread of five to eight tweets breaking down a tool
- You want two variants of one post and a self-score to pick the better one
- You need a draft in the X editor that you review and publish yourself
Not a fit when
- The agent has no browser access: without Playwright no draft is created
- You need analytics of replies and reach: the set writes posts and gathers no statistics
- You need posts for another social network: templates and the editor target X only
Example request
/x-collect Claude MCP protocol, then pick topics and write a thread of five tweetsLimitations
Documentation is mostly in Chinese, with a short English version. The sample user-profile.md defaults to Chinese and a Chinese-speaking audience, so another language means editing the profile. The x-collect skill needs the agent to have web search, and x-publish needs Playwright and a signed-in X account in the browser. X is blocked in Russia. The license is Apache-2.0. The latest version is 2.0, and the repository has not been updated since February 2026.
How to disable. Delete the x-collect, x-filter, x-create and x-publish folders from ~/.claude/skills. State lives in x-create/state and goes with the folder.
FAQ
How do I install X-Skills in Claude Code?
Copy the x-collect, x-filter, x-create and x-publish folders into ~/.claude/skills or symlink them. Then run /x-create and answer the questions about topics, audience and style.
Does the skill publish posts itself?
No. The x-publish skill opens the X editor through Playwright, pastes the text and saves a draft. Publishing stays with you.
How does the skill score topics?
Out of ten points: popularity up to four, controversy up to two, value up to three and fit with the account one. Topics from seven points go into the working list.
Which post formats can x-create write?
A short tweet up to 280 characters, a thread of three to ten tweets and a reply to join someone else's topic.
What is stored in the state folder?
The liked_topics.json and rejected_topics.json files with accepted and rejected topics, and the events.jsonl log. The x_state.py script manages them.
