AIWG workflow
Agent, skill, rule and template sets for 19 AI tools, from the software lifecycle to incident analysis

Extended access
Why this level
- Deployment writes agents, rules and skills into the tool folders of the project, and user scope also into the home directory (for example `~/.claude/`)
- Extra agent loops, background orchestration and Jev are enabled separately, and Jev sends the question and context to an external service
Install
- Works in
Manual install
npm i -g aiwgNeeds Node.js 24 or newer. Then `aiwg setup` and `aiwg use all --provider <provider>`.
Access and checks
How we reviewExtended accessThe tool runs code or makes network calls and only reads external data.

What it does
AIWG installs sets of agents, skills, rules and templates into a project and spreads them over the folders your tool reads: Claude Code, Codex, Copilot, Cursor and others (the README names 19 providers). After `npm i -g aiwg`, `aiwg use all --provider claude` deploys everything at once, and `aiwg use <name>` deploys one chosen set. The sets are called frameworks. SDLC Complete runs development from concept to handoff with phases and gates. Forensics Complete works an incident: evidence collection, log review, timeline and indicators of compromise. Media/Marketing Kit builds campaigns, Research Complete turns literature search into reviewable notes, and Security Engineering, Ops Complete, Knowledge Base and Media Curator cover the rest. Memory between sessions lives in the `.aiwg/` folder of the project. An MCP server, a Claude Code marketplace and the optional Jev service, which takes bounded questions such as "is this test flaky?", are available too.
Who it is for. Teams that run a project for weeks or months and want decisions, requirements and reviews to outlive an agent session, including where audit matters.
Good fit when
- A feature touches architecture, security and operations, and every side has to speak before code
- Requirements shift, and earlier decisions have to be at hand in each new session
- The same rule set is needed in Claude Code, Cursor and Codex, and copying it by hand is a chore
- An incident is under review, and evidence with a timeline must follow a template
- A literature search has to become notes with sources and a quality check
Not a fit when
- A one-off question such as fix this typo or parse this CSV: shared context and phases are overkill
- You want the fewest files: deployment puts agents, rules and templates into the tool folders, and they get reviewed like any other change
- Node.js is older than 24 and cannot be changed
Example request
Install or repair AIWG for this project by following https://aiwg.io/setup.aiwg.yaml, explain the plan before changing anythingLimitations
Node.js 24 or newer is required. Extra review passes and model calls raise token spend and your own checking time, so pick the set to fit the task. Jev receives the question and context on an external service, so keep secrets out of both; it is enabled separately and is not part of `aiwg use all`. Native packages for terminals and semantic search are not in the base install and are added separately. The documentation and instructions are in English.
How to disable. Delete the deployed files from the provider folders (for Claude Code, the agents, skills and rules under the project `.claude/`) and the `.aiwg/` folder if you do not need the project memory. `npm uninstall -g aiwg` removes the package.
FAQ
How do I install AIWG for Claude Code only?
Run `npm i -g aiwg`, then `aiwg use all --provider claude` in the project root. To take one set, replace `all` with a framework or addon name, for example `decision-engine`. The list of names is in the project CLI reference.
What does `aiwg doctor` do?
It shows the version, deployed providers, missing dependencies and broken native capabilities, and prints a recovery command when something is wrong. If `aiwg` is not found after installing, run `npx aiwg doctor`.
Where does AIWG keep project memory?
In the `.aiwg/` folder of the project: artifacts of plans, requirements and decisions that later sessions read as context. The folder can live in Git with the code or be excluded.
How do I connect the AIWG MCP server?
Ask the agent to configure the AIWG MCP connection for your tool: the installer writes the configuration where the provider has a stable format. A small tool surface is open by default, and larger sets for flows, missions and catalog are enabled separately.
What is Jev and is it required?
Jev is an optional service for bounded decisions with a fixed answer shape: yes or no, a pick from choices, a score on a scale. It comes with the `decision-engine` addon and a token, and when it abstains or is unsure the agent decides itself.

README in short
The README opens with a ready install prompt, then explains what AIWG consists of: a deployment layer, frameworks, addons and agent utilities. It continues with project walkthroughs, framework tables with agent and skill counts, a section on when the set is not needed and links to provider documentation.
