What it does
oclif CLI creates a command-line project with a `hello world` example. After generation, the user opens help, runs the example and asks an agent to implement the application’s commands. The scaffold can become a standalone CLI or a plugin for an oclif application. For a release, `oclif pack` builds installable packages and `oclif readme` writes command documentation to the README. `oclif upload` sends artifacts to AWS S3; `oclif promote` assigns builds to a release channel.

The generator requires Node.js 18 or later on a supported LTS release; the generated CLI’s runtime requirements are configured separately. The hello-world example does not implement your application logic or tests. The old `oclif multi`, `oclif plugin` and `oclif single` commands have been removed; existing scripts must use `oclif generate`. Artifact upload and promotion access real AWS S3 resources with the configured account’s permissions.
How to disable. Stop generation or packaging. Remove the generated project and uploaded S3 artifacts separately if no longer needed.
