What it does
The server connects an agent to Kling AI. Four operations are available through it: image from text, image from image, video from text and video from image. The agent shows finished results in the chat; they can be saved locally and are synced to the asset library of the Kling web app. No API key is needed: sign-in goes through OAuth with a Kling account. It connects as a custom MCP server at https://kling.ai/mcp.
Who it is for. For developers, marketers and video makers who produce clips and images for products and social media and want to get them from an agent chat without switching to the Kling web app.
Good fit when
- You need a short clip from a description or from a finished frame, and the agent should start the generation itself
- You need images for an article or a landing page that the agent makes as it works
- You already have a Kling subscription or credits and want to spend them from your work tools
Not a fit when
- You need video work beyond the four operations: editing, lip sync, effects. The server does not claim them
- You cannot send images and descriptions to the external Kling service
Example request
Make a five-second clip from this frame: the camera slowly pulls back, snow falls downMCP

Limitations
Every generation spends Kling credits, the same as in the web app: the cost depends on the model, duration and resolution, and the server documentation gives no prices. Generation time matches the web app and depends on the queue and the plan. After sign-in the agent acts on behalf of your Kling account and spends its credits, and your requests and pictures are processed by the Kling service. The vendor itself considers the CLI more compatible and stable than MCP, and recommends the CLI for Openclaw and Hermes. Availability from Russia is not stated in the documentation.
How to disable. Remove the Kling custom MCP server from the client settings (in Claude Code: claude mcp remove kling) and revoke the app's access in the Kling account settings.
FAQ
Do I need a Kling API key?
No. The server uses a Kling account sign-in through OAuth; no keys are needed.
What can the server do?
Four operations: image from text, image from image, video from text and video from image. The vendor claims nothing more.
How much does it cost to work through MCP?
Generations spend the same credits as in the Kling web app, and an active subscription works in all clients. The server documentation gives no prices; see the plans on the Kling site.
Which is better, MCP or CLI?
The vendor itself calls the CLI more compatible and stable. If the server connects unreliably, try the Kling CLI.

README in short
The vendor page describes the remote Kling MCP server at https://kling.ai/mcp with OAuth sign-in using a Kling account. Four operations are claimed: image and video from text and from an image. Results can be saved locally and are synced to the web app's asset library. It connects as a custom MCP server, paid in Kling credits. In the FAQ the vendor calls the CLI the more stable option.
