What it does
The server connects an agent to a locally running TradingView Desktop app through the Chrome DevTools Protocol and lets it drive the chart in words. The agent reads indicator values, price levels and annotations, switches symbols and timeframes, adds and removes indicators, draws lines and rectangles, and creates or deletes price alerts. A separate toolset writes, injects, compiles and debugs Pine Script, and a replay mode steps through historical bars for practice. Everything is also available as tv CLI commands with JSON output. The tool runs locally only: it does not reach TradingView servers, redistribute data or execute real trades.
Who it is for. For traders and Pine Script developers who want to analyze their charts and write scripts together with an agent.

You need TradingView Desktop installed, an active paid subscription for real-time data and Node.js 18+. The tool reaches undocumented internal APIs through a debug port and can break after a TradingView update. The debug port is enabled manually with a standard Chromium flag. It executes no real trades and only interacts with the chart.
How to disable. Remove the tradingview block from your MCP configuration and, if you wish, delete the cloned repository folder. Close TradingView that was launched with the debug port.

No. The tool reads and controls the already running app with your active subscription and bypasses nothing.
