What it does
The server gives the agent a toolkit for market data without logging into a TradingView account. It fetches quotes and data for stocks, crypto, forex and futures from public sources including Yahoo Finance, computes technical indicators, runs screeners and finds top gainers and losers, does multi-timeframe reads, and runs strategies through backtests, including an overfitting check. News and sentiment come from an optional Marketaux key. It installs as a local server from a PyPI package, and there is also a paid hosted option with a ready connector URL.

This is an independent project, not affiliated with TradingView Inc.; data comes from third-party public sources and may be incomplete or delayed. The server does not execute trades and gives no investment advice; its output is informational. Self-hosting is free under MIT and needs Python and uv, while the hosted option at pro.cryptosieve.com is paid with a free trial. The news and sentiment tools need a free Marketaux key, without which they return empty results.
How to disable. Remove the tradingview block from the agent's MCP config. For a local install the package can be removed with uv tool uninstall tradingview-mcp-server or pip uninstall tradingview-mcp-server.
