What it does
A set of eight Motion skills for paid advertising on Meta and other social networks. The `brand-intake` skill runs an interview and web research that produce a brand context document. `review-audit` turns positive reviews into pain points, purchase triggers, objections and swipeable customer phrases. `creative-strategy-engine` lays out advertising across pain and audience intersections and five awareness stages. The execution skills come next. `hook-writing` drafts openers for a product, persona and awareness stage, `hook-tactics` holds a library of over 35 tactic types, and `hook-voice-patterns` collects templates from viral posts. `creative-mechanics` describes structures of ad ideas and `visual-formats` covers over 45 visual formats for Meta. The skills switch on by themselves when a request matches their description.
Who it is for. Paid advertising marketers and media buyers who prepare creatives for Meta and social networks and want to build on the language of customer reviews.
Good fit when
- A new brand has no context: `brand-intake` runs first and the other skills get a foundation.
- Customer reviews are collected and pains, objections and ad phrases have to be pulled from them.
- Advertising is laid out by persona and awareness stage before any video is produced.
- A wide set of openers from over 35 tactic types is assembled for an A/B test.
- An idea or a pain point is turned into a video concept with a structure and a format is picked from the library.
Not a fit when
- You need metrics and campaign reports: the skills have no performance analysis, and the author recommends doing it in Motion.
- The product is advertised outside Meta and paid social: the formats and tactics are tuned to them.
- There are no product reviews yet: `review-audit` is built on positive customer reviews.
- You expect finished videos and banners: the skills give strategy, openers and structures but no editing or design.
Example request
Run brand intake for a language learning app, then write 10 hooks for women aged 25 to 35 who dropped their courses.Limitations
The skills return text: interviews, angle tables, openers and format descriptions. They do not make videos, banners or media buys, and they hold no ad performance data. The output of `brand-intake` depends on what is known about the brand online and what you say in the interview, while `review-audit` works with reviews you paste into the chat. The author built the libraries of openers and structures from viral social posts, and they reflect the author's selection at release time. The last commit in the repository was made in June 2026.
How to disable. Delete the skill folders, for example `creative-strategy-engine` and `hook-writing`, from the agent's skills directory. The set has no separate settings or background processes.
FAQ
How do I install Creative Strategy Skills?
Run `npx skills add alyshafrommotion/creative-strategy-skills` in a terminal. No configuration is needed: the skills are available in every conversation. You can verify by asking the agent which creative-strategy skills are installed.
Which skill do I start with?
For a new brand start with `brand-intake`: it gathers context for the rest. Then come `review-audit`, `creative-strategy-engine`, `creative-mechanics`, `visual-formats` and `hook-writing`, while `hook-tactics` and `hook-voice-patterns` widen and refine the openers.
Do I need special commands to run the skills?
No. The skills switch on from the meaning of a request. It is enough to write, for example, "Run brand intake for ..." or to ask for openers for an app and an audience.
How does hook-tactics differ from hook-voice-patterns?
`hook-tactics` is a reference of over 35 tactic types that create psychological tension. `hook-voice-patterns` holds templates in the manner of ordinary feed posts, so an opener reads like an ordinary person's post.
Which platforms do the skills fit?
The formats and tactics are chosen for Meta and paid social, video and static. The sample requests include TikTok-style openers.

name: creative-strategy-engine
description: Strategic framework for mapping pain/persona intersections and messaging angles. Defines the structure for organizing creative strategy, not the tactics for execution. Use this when planning an organizational or systematic approach to creative strategy, or when a user provides a product and wants to define messaging angles, write strategic hooks, or execute ads in visual formats defined by awareness and decision stages.

# Creative Strategy Engine
This framework defines the strategic structure for organizing creative strategy using pain/persona-based messaging angles deployed across awareness stages.
**This resource provides STRUCTURE, not EXECUTION.** It teaches you how to map the strategic landscape, not how to write hooks or scripts. For execution, use specialized tools like Hook Writing or Script Writing.
## What This Framework Does
The Creative Strategy Engine is a system for:
1. Organizing your creative strategy around specific pain × persona intersections
2. Defining messaging angles for each intersection
3. Mapping those angles across the full funnel (5 awareness stages)
4. Creating a matrix of strategic opportunities for content creation
**Think of it as:** Your strategic architecture that other execution tools build upon.
## Core Framework Structure
```
Pain/Desire (Primary Anchor)
↓
Persona (Secondary - mapped to each pain/desire)
↓
Messaging Angle (Core truth for this intersection)
↓
Awareness Stages (5 stages from unaware → most aware)
↓
Creative Mechanic (How the concept delivers the truth — Creative Mechanics)
↓
Hook (Opening line that triggers the mechanic — Hook Writing + Hook Tactics)
↓
Visual Formats (Execution variations)
```
## Framework Hierarchy
1. **Primary Anchor:** Pain or Desire
2. **Secondary Mapping:** Persona
3. **Messaging Angles:** Core truth at each pain/desire × persona intersection
4. **Awareness Stages:** 5-stage funnel framework
