What it does
The skill fires when you ask an agent to invent a trip, adjust a finished itinerary or sort old photos and notes from a journey. The agent offers route options, splits each day into sights, meals, transport and rest, and checks key places and transfers. Once you confirm a version, the skill sends the route to journione.ai and returns a link to a Travel Journal. It is a web page with two views: the Journal view shows images, stories and the plan by day, and the Map view shows places and routes. Signing in saves your own copy so you can keep editing. Creating a journal needs no JourniOne token. Hotels and flights are searched only when you ask. Hotels come through the TourMind Booking skill and flights through the remote Kiwi.com MCP.
Who it is for. For people who plan a holiday or trip with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and other agents and want a day-by-day route together with hotels and flights.
Good fit when
- You have a trip idea without dates ("a week in Japan, I want food and museums") and need two or three route options to choose from
- A finished itinerary has to become more relaxed: keep the tickets already bought and add time to rest
- You need hotels along the route with a clear summary of price, meals and cancellation terms
- Photos, notes and an old itinerary should become a journal you can send to friends as a link
- You want the route first and plan to add dates and bookings later
Not a fit when
- You only need to book one flight or hotel right now: search goes through third-party channels and needs their confirmation
- Your client has no web search, file access or remote MCP, which the skill relies on
- You want the itinerary to stay on your machine: the finished journal is created on journione.ai

- It needs two extra components: the tourmind-booking skill for hotels and the remote Kiwi.com MCP for flights. The install guide tells the agent to find and connect both automatically.
- The client must be able to search the web, read files, make HTTPS requests and run Node.js 22 or newer scripts.
- The skill text and part of the documentation are in Chinese. The agent replies in the language of your request.
- Prices and room availability reflect the search response at the time of the request.
- Version 1.0.3 sends three light events about planning progress by default (agent, stage, time) with no chat text. You can switch it off; see the PRIVACY.md file.
- The journione.ai, TourMind and Kiwi.com services run outside Russia, so reachability from Russia depends on each of them.
How to disable. Delete the travel-journal-creator folder from the client's skills directory or switch the skill off in the skill manager. Remove tourmind-booking and the Kiwi.com connection separately if you no longer need them. Journals already created stay on journione.ai at their links.

How do I install Travel Journal Creator in Claude Code?
Clone the repository into the skills directory as a folder named travel-journal-creator with git clone https://github.com/JourniOne-ai/JourniOne-Planning-Skills.git. Copy the whole folder: playbooks, references and scripts sit next to SKILL.md. Then install tourmind-booking and connect the Kiwi.com MCP, reload the skill and open a new conversation.
Do I need to type the skill name for it to run?
No. The skill picks up any trip request: a holiday idea, an itinerary edit, a hotel search or turning photos and notes into a journal. You do not need the name or a special prefix.
Who can see my Travel Journal?
Anyone with the link, since public viewing opens without signing in. Remove personal details and photos you do not want public before sharing. Only the account owner can edit a journal, and anonymous viewing gives no edit rights.
Does the skill book hotels and tickets by itself?
No. The skill finds options and builds a shortlist but does not place an order. After choosing a hotel you go to booking through a supported channel, check the room, total and terms and pay yourself. The booking holds once the channel confirms it.
Where do the hotel prices come from?
From the TourMind Booking skill, which aggregates rates from over a hundred channels, including Ctrip, Agoda, Expedia and Booking.com. The comparison shows room type, meals, taxes and cancellation terms.
