What it does

Minara Skills connects an agent to Minara, a service that calls itself an AI-native financial OS. The minara skill talks to the agent in plain language and calls the Minara CLI console program. It can buy, sell, swap and transfer tokens by ticker, name or contract address across Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Solana, BSC and other networks, and work with perpetual futures on Hyperliquid: open and close positions, set leverage and manage several wallets. The skill creates, lists and cancels limit orders for spot and perps, shows balance and portfolio and deposit addresses, handles card top-ups through MoonPay and withdrawals. A separate AI autopilot mode for perps turns on only by an explicit request. For analytics there is real-time on-chain data, token fundamentals, whale flows, trending tokens and stocks, and research on companies, commodities and currencies. The Minara wallet also pays HTTP APIs over the x402 protocol, and a Premium section manages plans and credits. Authentication is lazy: the skill does not check login at start and reaches for it only when a command needs an account, then follows the login link. On first activation it runs the version-check.sh script and asks whether to update the CLI and the skill. Installers for Claude Code, OpenClaw and Hermes install the CLI and copy the skill files into the agent's directory.

Who it is for. For users of Claude Code, OpenClaw and Hermes Agent who trade crypto and are ready to run real-money operations through the Minara service and take responsibility for every trade.

Good fit when

  • You want to check your Minara balance and portfolio or get a deposit address right in a conversation with the agent
  • You want to swap tokens on the spot market with a phrase like "Swap 0.1 ETH to USDC" and see the details before confirming
  • You need to place a limit order, such as "Buy ETH when price hits $3000", then list and cancel orders
  • You need market data in chat: trending tokens, whale flows, token fundamentals and equity research
  • You need to pay an HTTP API over the x402 protocol from the Minara wallet

Not a fit when

  • You are not ready to trust an agent with real-money operations: the skill can transfer and withdraw funds and open leveraged positions
  • You want profit guarantees or advice on what to buy: analytics and autopilot give estimates while the decision and the losses stay with you
  • You need a neutral tool not tied to one service: the skill works only through a Minara account and wallet
  • You want to trade stocks and currencies as on a licensed exchange without checking the service rules: terms, limits and availability in your country must be checked with Minara

Example request

Log in to Minara, show my deposit address and balance, then tell me which tokens are trending, buying nothing

Limitations

  • The Minara CLI from npm (`npm install -g minara@latest`) and a Minara account are required, and login goes through a link from the CLI.
  • The skill works through the CLI: the Minara service performs every operation. The repository holds documentation and setup scripts, with no binaries or background services.
  • The 88 out of 100 benchmark result belongs to the same authors: it was run by their crypto-skill-benchmark repository on Claude Sonnet 4.6.
  • Installers for Claude Code, OpenClaw and Hermes run as curl piped to a shell, so read the script before running it.
  • The README does not describe availability of Minara, MoonPay and supported exchanges in Russia, so check the service terms.
  • The strategy studio with backtesting lives on the strategy.minara.ai site and is not part of the skill.

How to disable. Delete the skill folder: ~/.claude/skills/minara for Claude Code, ~/.openclaw/skills/minara for OpenClaw, ~/.hermes/skills/minara for Hermes. For OpenClaw remove the minara entry from openclaw.json. `npm uninstall -g minara` removes the CLI, while signing out and revoking wallet access must be done in the service itself.

FAQ

How do I install Minara Skills in Claude Code?

Run npm install -g minara@latest, then clone the Minara-AI/skills repository and copy skills/minara to ~/.claude/skills/minara. A one-command installer also exists that installs the CLI, copies the files and starts login. OpenClaw and Hermes have their own scripts and paths.

Which operations does Minara Skills support?

Buying, selling, swapping and transferring tokens, perpetual futures on Hyperliquid, limit orders, balance and portfolio, card top-ups through MoonPay, withdrawals, market analytics, x402 payments and subscription management. The networks include Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Solana, BSC and others.

Do I need a separate account for Minara Skills?

Yes, the skill works through the Minara CLI and a Minara account. Login is lazy: the agent asks for authorization only when a command needs an account, and then gives a link. The repository does not collect or store credentials, and the CLI's official flow handles login.

Is it safe to let an agent trade through Minara?

Operations use real funds, so confirm every trade with amount, asset and network, do not enable autopilot without need, and start with balance checks and analytics. The authors have their own safety benchmark, but it does not count as outside verification.

How does Minara Skills update?

On the first activation per session the skill runs version-check.sh. If a new CLI or skill version is out, it asks whether to update now, skip or snooze for a week. The CLI updates with npm install -g minara@latest and the skill with git pull in its own folder.

README in short

The README presents Minara as a financial OS and lists the skill's features and supported networks. It then covers installation for Claude Code, OpenClaw and Hermes, a quick start, sample prompts, results of the authors' own benchmark, a script table and a note on the repository's security.

# Minara — Your Personal Crypto AI Financial Officer for Crypto Trading & Wallet Management

<!-- Safety: this file is documentation only. No executable code. -->

## Post-install Setup

On first activation, read `{baseDir}/setup.md` and follow its instructions.

## Preamble — run once on first activation per session

```bash
bash {baseDir}/scripts/version-check.sh
```

- `UP_TO_DATE` or `SNOOZED` → **continue without an activation-time login check**.
- Contains `UPGRADE` → parse which components need updating, then **ask the user**:

> "Minara update available — [cli: X→Y] [skill: X→Y]. What would you like to do?
> A) Update now  B) Skip  C) Snooze 1 week"

Handle each response:

| Choice | CLI (`cli:` in output) | Skill (`skill:` in output) |
|--------|------------------------|---------------------------|
| **A) Update now** | `npm install -g minara@latest` | `cd {baseDir} && git pull` |
| **B) Skip** | do nothing | do nothing |
| **C) Snooze 1 week** | `echo "$(( $(date +%s) + 604800 ))" > ~/.minara/.update-snooze` | same |

After a successful upgrade, invalidate the cache so the next session re-detects correctly:
```bash
rm -f ~/.minara/.last-update-check
```

Only prompt for the components listed in the `UPGRADE` output (e.g. if only `cli:` is present, don't mention skill).
