What it does
A set of 11 SEO and marketing skills by Ilias Ism. Each skill sits in its own folder with a SKILL.md file following the Agent Skills spec, so the set suits any agent that reads such files. The main skill, `seo-autopilot`, runs on a schedule inside the marketing site's repository. It keeps state in a seo/ folder: product context, a keyword map and a task queue. Every day the agent checks the site and ships one task from the queue, adds a report weekly and rebuilds the keyword map monthly. It publishes the result as a pull request for review or merges it itself after a green build, and that mode is set in a five-line config. The other skills cover single tasks. `blitz-seo` runs a 30-day sprint on one page, `seo-title-optimization` fixes titles and `blog-refresher` refreshes old posts. `diff-marketing` turns commits and merged pull requests into posts and emails, and `customer-journey` maps the customer path across five awareness stages. For copy there are `blitz-copy`, `understand-customers` and `intro`. `linkdr` and `scribiz` are skills for the author's own services, LinkDR and Scribiz.
Who it is for. For site owners, marketers and developers who run a product's SEO with Claude Code, Cursor or Codex and want ready-made working instructions.
Good fit when
- You want an agent that checks page statuses, canonicals, redirects and broken internal links in the site's repository every day
- Pages sit on the second results page and you need to see how competitors outrank them: `blog-refresher` builds a SERP gap analysis and refreshes the post
- You need to rewrite titles, H1s and meta titles to lift clicks, which `seo-title-optimization` does
- You want a customer journey map with queries for Google and ChatGPT at each of five awareness stages
- You want product changes turned into posts, emails and changelog entries, which `diff-marketing` handles
Not a fit when
- You need Yandex optimization: the skill descriptions talk about Google and AI assistant answers
- The site has no repository the agent can read and change: the autopilot works with project files
- You only need a one-off edit of a single text: `seo-title-optimization` or `blitz-copy` alone is enough
Example request
Install the `seo-autopilot` skill from Illyism/seo-skills and run its first setup for our site: we will fill in the five lines on product, competitors and ship modeLimitations
- The autopilot needs data sources: Search Console, Ahrefs or a similar tool, analytics and web search. If one is missing it says so once in the report and works with the rest.
- `linkdr` buys link placements from LinkDR: the agent builds a plan for a budget and hands over a single checkout link with payment through Stripe. The skill takes prices from the live file on linkdr.com.
- `scribiz` works through the Scribiz service and produces transcripts, subtitles and summaries for video.
- The skills' texts and instructions are in English.
How to disable. Delete the folder of the skill you want from the agent's skills directory, for example .claude/skills/seo-autopilot. If the autopilot has already run, remove the seo/ folder in the site repository and the run schedule separately.
FAQ
How do I install SEO Skills in Claude Code?
Run npx skills add Illyism/seo-skills to install all the skills. One skill installs with the --skill flag, for example npx skills add Illyism/seo-skills --skill seo-autopilot, and the --list flag prints what is available. The same set works with Cursor, Codex and any agent that reads SKILL.md files.
What does `seo-autopilot` do every day?
It requests every address from the sitemap and looks for non-200 responses, redirect chains, canonical errors, stray noindex and broken internal links. Then it checks prices and features in page text against commits since the last run and ships one task from the queue. All state lives in the repository's seo/ folder.
How do I audit and rewrite title tags with a skill?
The `seo-title-optimization` skill audits and rewrites titles, H1s and meta titles for rankings and clicks. If you want an early result on one page, `blitz-seo` runs a 30-day sprint on a single money keyword.
Are the skills paid?
The skills are under the MIT license. A paid service sits behind `linkdr`: LinkDR charges per placed link, and you confirm the payment yourself.
How do I refresh an outdated blog post with an agent?
Run `blog-refresher`: it compares the post with those ranking above it, finds content gaps and updates the text so the page can overtake them.

--- name: seo-autopilot description: When the user wants an agent to run SEO for a product end to end on a daily schedule, with state kept in a seo/ folder in the repo. Covers site health checks, fact checks against commits, page 2 to page 1 pushes, AI answer tracking, competitor sitemap diffs, a monthly keyword map, articles, comparison pages, free tools and link drafts. Also use when the user mentions "seo autopilot" or asks for a daily SEO run. metadata: version: 1.0.0 author: illyism source: https://il.ly/skills/seo-autopilot --- # SEO autopilot Fill in the five lines below, then run this prompt in the marketing site's repo on a daily schedule. ``` Site: https://example.com Product: <one sentence: what it does and who buys it> Conversion: <the action that counts, e.g. signup, demo booked> Competitors: <3 to 8 names, or "find them"> Ship mode: <"PR for review" or "merge when the build passes"> ``` --- You run search for this product, end to end. The owner should not have to think about SEO at all. Your goal is more buyers arriving from Google and from AI answers (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews) and converting. Traffic that never converts does not count, and neither does word count. You work in this repo. Everything you ship is a real change to the site: a new page, an edit, a redirect, a tool. Advice in a document is not work. ## Where you keep state You have no memory between runs. All of it lives in `seo/` in this repo. Read it at the start of every run and update it before you finish. - `seo/context.md`: the product, the buyer, prices, features, limits, claims and competitors. Build it from the code and the live pricing page, never from memory. Every fact gets the file or URL it came from. - `seo/keyword-map.csv`: one row per search query. Columns: query, intent, monthly volume, difficulty, target URL, status (live, planned, gap), current position, last checked. - `seo/backlog.md`: the queue, ordered by expected signups per hour of work. Each item names the query, the page and the change. - `seo/log.md`: one dated line per change you shipped, with the URL. - `seo/ai-prompts.md`: 25 questions a buyer would ask an AI assistant, and what each assistant answered on each check. - `seo/competitors/`: a snapshot of each competitor's sitemap, so you can diff it. - `seo/reports/`, `seo/social/`, `seo/outreach/`, `seo/directories.md`. ## What to do on each run
