Extended access
Why this level
- Responses carry account balances and transaction lists, and that data enters the model context
- The token opens financial data until it is revoked or expires, so it must not be pasted into a chat or committed
Install
- Works in
In your terminal, with SkillFoxx CLI
npx skillfoxx add mcp/riseup-mcpDetects the agents on your machine, shows the access level and pins the version.

What it does
The `@riseup-oss/mcp` server reads your cashflow data in RiseUp through its exposed API and hands it to an agent. `get_budget` returns the budget for a month (`YYYY-MM`, `current` or `previous`) by category with planned amounts and actual transactions. `get_transactions` filters transactions by month, date and business name. Balances: `get_current_bank_balances_data` shows account balances, `get_historical_bank_balances_data` gives daily values over 1 to 90 days with minimum, maximum and average, and `get_future_bank_balances_prediction` estimates the balance on a future date within the next month. Two more tools: `get_mortgages_data` with balance, interest and payments for a mortgage and `get_benchmarks_data` comparing your spending with similar customers. Access uses a personal token `riseup_pat_...` with chosen scopes: `budget:read`, `balances:read`, `mortgages:read`, `benchmarks:read`.
Who it is for. RiseUp customers who want to ask Claude Desktop questions about their budget and accounts in plain language.
Good fit when
- You want to compare this month's budget with last month's and see which categories grew
- You look for payments to a specific business over a month and want the agent to compile them
- Before a large purchase you want the projected account balances for the end of the month
- You want to check your spending on communication, insurance or eating out against similar customers
Not a fit when
- You need to change the budget or make a payment: the token is read-only
- You are not a RiseUp customer: the server returns no data without a personal token
- You want a combined view across several services: the server sees RiseUp data only

Environment variables
RISEUP_PATrequired, secret- A RiseUp personal access token of the form `riseup_pat_...`.
RISEUP_API_BASE- API base URL for test environments, default `https://input.riseup.co.il`.
Limitations
Node.js 18 or newer and a personal token from the RiseUp developer page are required. The token is shown once and expires after 30 days by default, and scopes cannot be added to an existing token.
A tool called without its scope fails with a 403 that names the missing scope.
The author describes Claude Desktop, Base44 and the Claude Agent SDK as clients. The README has no instructions for Claude Code, Cursor or Codex.
The `get_cashflow` tool is promised for future releases.
How to disable. Remove the `riseup` block from `claude_desktop_config.json`, fully restart Claude Desktop and revoke the token at `/developer/tokens` in RiseUp.
FAQ
How do I get a token?
Create one on the RiseUp developer page (`input.riseup.co.il/developer/tokens`) and tick the scopes you need. The value is shown once, so copy it right away.
Can the server change my budget?
No, the author calls the token read-only. The tools fetch data and write nothing.
Why does a tool answer with 403?
The token lacks the needed scope, and the message names it. Scopes cannot be added to an existing token, so create a new one.
Which tools does the server have?
Seven: `get_budget`, `get_transactions`, `get_mortgages_data`, `get_current_bank_balances_data`, `get_historical_bank_balances_data`, `get_future_bank_balances_prediction` and `get_benchmarks_data`.
Where is the token sent?
The token lives in the local client config. By the author's account the server runs on your machine and talks only to the RiseUp API and your MCP client.

README in short
The documentation leads from creating a token through configuring Claude Desktop and the Claude Agent SDK to a reference of variables and seven tools. The `docs/` directory holds a quickstart, authorization, rate limits, errors and per-dataset references.
